About
I received my Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2008. I have been at Old Dominion University since 2007 where I teach new media theory & practice, medieval rhetoric & literature, writing with video & writing with sound.
My research interests include the intersections between medieval rhetoric and new media (yes, there are quite a few), professional writing, copyright & intellectual property and open source design.
I am currently an associate editor with the journal Kairos and have been the project manager for the redesign of the journal.
